Practice Dutch with a language volunteer!
How do you learn Dutch? By going to language classes and by practicing a lot. A language volunteer ("taalcoach") can help you practice.
For live practice sessions with a language volunteer, follow the steps below.
For online practice sessions, apply at Kletsmaatjes. You will use tools like Zoom, Skype or Whatsapp. Some command of oral Dutch required (A1 minimum).

A language volunteer helps you!
Did you know that learning a new language is most effective when combining school lessons with lots of practice? This is scientifically proven. By practice sessions with a language volunteer, a newcomer such as yourself learns our language better and more quickly. And once you speak Dutch, you gain the self-confidence you need to participate in our society.
You will meet with your language volunteer weekly, either 1-on-1, in small groups or in a "Taalcafé". Not only do you practice your language skills, you also discover more about Dutch culture!

Step 1

Step 2
Chose an organisation. Check out their website. Apply directly if possible. Or mail or phone them.
Step 3
The organisation will schedule an intake with you. Then they will find you a volunteer. This may take some time.
